Express Alignment for Internal Steam Turbines
Express Alignment for Internal Steam Turbines from ACQUIP provides an alternative to tops on/tops off diaphragm alignment for steam turbines. Rotor disassembly readings, coupling alignment readings, and internal component positions are recorded at original disassembly. This allows the shaft alignment to be considered along with the diaphragm alignment at the reassembly stage. As found diaphragm positions are recorded as well as packing rubs, and shell deviations. All of this data is used to formulate theoretical tops on position. Only tops off data is needed thus saving shifts to put on and take the top off of the cylinder. Express Alignment is laser alignment readings that are taken for all internal components. These readings are combined with horizontal joint deviation and out of roundness readings. The laser alignment readings are fast, reliable and accurate. This process is ideal for steam turbines with both diaphragms and blade rings. The readings are also recorded on glands, oil bores and nozzles. This approach saves time because all turbine components are placed into the calculated ideal position at reassembly. Employing ACQUIP's alignment engineers using our Express Alignment for Internal Steam Turbines procedures, combined with our laser alignment tooling and bracketing will decrease the length of your outage and increase your turbine performance.
